About the event
This winter, retreat to the tranquility of Fogwood Gardens, where we will gather in the yurt to deepen your poetry practice. Poet Stevie Trevino will guide you through simple exercises & gentle prompts designed to clear your creative channels and allow inspiration to flow. Each class, we will use timed writing exercises to explore various tools including themes, metaphors, sensation, and perspective. Then Stevie will write a poem based on your suggestions and teach from her own poetry created in the moment. Afterwards there will be a longer timed writing session with prompt, followed by time to share. Writers of all skill levels are invited to participate in this 5-week long generative writing workshop. Journals and pens will be provided.
Class meets on Thursdays from 5-6pm.
Optional time to share & mingle until 6:30pm.
